is that Owen the Builder? Yes he can! Build an addition for the new little brother or sister? Erect a house for Howie and Georgie....waaay out back? If Owen is wanting to camp in the wilderness, the 'rents better book a campsite before the gov closes those state parks.

Aunt Annie: I've been trying to contact the office of the Gov'ner all day. He needs to know from Owen K. Bentley that it's unacceptable to even think of closing NY State Parks!
What doesn't he understand that "ankle-biters" everywhere (like me) would miss out on: sleeping under the stars, campfires, marshmallows, s'mores etc!
I'm dialing him up again. Someone has to talk some sense into this guy :)

you ROCK, Owen K Bentley....you may just have a future in politics. Govenor OK Bentley. If it weren't so early, my brain might fathom some campaign slogans for you to use. Can you imagine? You could be your daddy's boss, or have him assigned to protect you...WAIT a minute...you're already there!

Aunt Annie: I think I already am the boss of my Dad. I told him I was the boss once, and he nodded and told me I was the BOSS OF NOTHING ...so obviously he knows I am the Little Boss, huh? Darn right :)
On another note, please tell Casey and Uncle Bobby I said H-E-L-L-O!!!!!

Owen just asked me why Aunt Annie was up at 5:43am when she is retired and supposed to be enjoying life in warm-ish and sunny Florida. Why is that Aunt Annie?

You are SO right, OKB! I have to get up bright and early in order to prepare for all of my important responsibilities. I am forever on call in case Uncle Bobby (who say's Hi right back at ya) needs waited on, or if Casey (woof) needs me to lift his behind up. Sometimes Casey just needs a hug because he misses your Grandma so much. Anyways, then comes the REAL important stuff, that only retired people have to do, like wait 11 seconds for their coffee to brew, then peek out of the blinds to make sure no humans let their dogs do their business on the newly landdscaped lawn. And then I have to keep track of when all the neighbors take their walks so I can cut them off at the street corner for a long morning chat, where I fill them in on what everyone else in the neighborhood is doing. All that, BESIDES watching for the mailman because he might bring those earlybird coupons for restaurants. I just dread when the dandelions sprout (maybe that doesn't happen in florida), because I will have to get one of those retired people diggers to pull them out, one by one, by the roots. Man, I may have to get up earlier when that day comes. Gotta go...a truck just drove up to the neighbors and I have to go check it out! Bye from Aunt Annie Gladys Cravits

Auntie Gladys: How did THAT comment slip under my radar??!!!???
Woo-hooo, no wonder the grand-neighbor-people said they lived the good life with you in Florida!
Don't tell Grand-neighbor-man I said this, but his day isn't quite as busy as yours seem to be. Rumor has it that Grandpa Donut can't function until he drinks 2 cups of 11 second coffee (*grin*), reads the newspaper from front to back, and THEN finishes the Crossword and Sudoku puzzles!
I guess my question is this: How in the name of Handy Manny did you retired people ever work????!!!
