As you all know, I was pretty miffed when the Purple Eagles lost the football game Friday. My dander was up, I don't deny it.
My Dad sat me down and told me my behavior was absolutely unacceptable. There is no crying in football he said. Or baseball. Or any other sport for that matter...
Well, my father may not have cried when the Buffalo Bills lost last night, but he sure appeared agitated if you ask me. He even threw the remote -but you didn't hear that from Owen K.
Owen K. Bentley however, just sat and smiled. I'm all about being a good sport now you know :)
Daddy was pretty heated last night. I thought you were crawling after the remote because you are a curious little boy, but it turns out you were chasing it because you were playing "fetch" with your father! Who knew he was throwing it around like a crazy person?

Owen K.
Competition can surely bring out the 'crazy' in people, Owen K. I mean, do you remember the labor day picnic with the whole family playing Badminton? I've never seen a louder group of people. Your parents did come out on top that night, though. Probably why it wasn't your dad who was throwing the rackets. But I won't point any fingers...

Mommy: Don't tell Daddy I ratted him out, ok? I'll talk to him later today and tell him to be like Grand-Neighbor man next door. Calm and collected during sporting events :)

Auntie: I DO remember the "Forest Meadow Badminton Challenge" ...how could I forget? It's a darn good thing there weren't any remote controls around. The sky would have been raining rackets and remotes :)

Owen, I don't get upset when my teams lose either. I didn't mind a bit when the Bills lost with one second left to go last night!!!!
And, we won't even go there regarding the NY Yankees last night. Nope. I'm okay with it. Really.
Hey, do you have any Tums over there?

Grandfather H: I told my parents I was going to try and act just like you if my teams lose. I don't know why, but they both looked at me like I was nuts. Hmmm. Go figure.

owen k.-this family you were born into-none of them like to lose and as for your grandfather-whenever the bills were playing we would be able to hear him at our house if they were losing-they must be very sad at the neighbors with the yankees and the bills losing.

Aunt Nat: The Grand Neighbor next door tells me that he is calm and collected when the Bills, Yankees or Notre Dame lose a game. I thought it was Howie or Lucy I heard sniveling late Monday night, but now you have me wondering :)
